Don Johnson, Jr.

Clete Donald Johnson, Jr. (born January 30, 1948) is an American politician, diplomat, lawyer and academic from the state of Georgia.
== Early life and education ==
Johnson, born in Atlanta, was raised in Royston, Georgia where he has lived most of his life. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia in Athens in 1970. He earned a law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1973, where he served as articles editor for the ''Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law''. Upon graduation, he worked on the trade staff of the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee. He earned his Master of Laws degree from the London School of Economics in 1978. He also obtained a certificate in private and public international law from the Hague Academy of International Law in the Netherlands.
